Camera Plus Pro App Review

Review of the Camera Plus Pro App for iPhone 4. Camera Plus Pro uses the iPhone 4's dual camera's, making it a great app for iPhone 4 users. I like the time lapse feature personally, as time lapses are really awesome!

iPhone 4 Review: Camera

The iPhone 4 features an additional front-facing VGA camera, and an improved (backslide-illuminated, big physical pixel size) 5 megapixel rear-facing camera integrated with an LED flash. The rear-facing camera is capable of recording HD video in 720p at 30 frames per second. Both cameras make use of the tap to focus feature, part of iOS 4, for photo and video recording.[34] The rear-facing camera has a 5× digital zoom.

Here is some information on the iPhone 3GS camera:

The iPhone 3GS features an improved 3 megapixel camera manufactured by OmniVision. In addition to the higher megapixel count, it also features auto-focus, auto white balance and auto macro and is capable of capturing 640-by-480 (VGA) video at 30 frames per second. The iPhone 3GS's Camera app features a slider which allows users to switch between capturing photos and recording videos and a tap-to-focus feature which allows users to tap on an area of the camera image to auto-focus on.

StarWalk HD

Star Walk is already a very popular app, and has even been featured by Apple in their iPad commercials and won a 2010 Apple Design Award for the iPad version, and now it’s added a Spectrum Bar with its latest update, which lets users see the sky in different wavelengths or regions of the electromagnetic spectrum, including Gamma Ray, X-Ray, Visible Light, H-alpha, Infrared, Microwave and Radio. Stargazers can slide their finger up or down the Spectrum Bar to change the wavelength and move along the spectrum. Each wavelength is represented by a different colour on the star map, and this gives Star Walk 5.4 the distinction of being the only stargazing guide to show the sky in this way. This new feature is the first fruit of a new partnership between Vito Technology and the European Space Agency.

Here are some of the app’s many featured highlights, courtesy of Vito Technology:

Augmented Reality for iPhone 4, iPad 2, and 4th generation iPod touch
Star Spotter - real time motion tracking tells the user what stars are above them in the sky
Satellites Tracking - never miss ISS flying overhead again (International Space Station)
Time Machine - see what the sky looks like at any moment in the past or future
Calendar of Celestial Events - plan stargazing without leaving the app that is running
Picture of the Day - stunning pictures from deep space
Night Mode - preserve dark vision to see more stars
Search - wondering where Jupiter is right now? Arrow points to it
Big Screen - connect a second display to view the sky on a big screen
AirPrint, Moon Phases, Info, View from any location, TelRad, Sharing, Bookmarks, and more
    No Internet connection required
